Are you looking for an extra special gift? Give an original, memorable gift that will last a lifetime! Get a custom ink and watercolor portrait of a home that deserves to be remembered! I also sketch businesses and churches. Just let me know if you have a special request!
I think I went to this church with a friend, back in the early 1970s. It could have been St. Mary's, though, an older wooden structure. Enjoyed looking at your blog, especially with the Texas things in it! I also have vision problems, so I know what you mean. Have AMD in the left eye, and had cataracts on both eyes. Had the "good eye" taken care of, then developed a problem with the membrane behind the retina in the right eye. It's like the old joke of being blind in one eye and can't see out of the other! Not too funny when it happens, though. The dr. said the problem with the right eye might clear up by itself, or they can do surgery. It was improved a bit last week when I went for a visit. I got so frustrated and couldn't do anything about it, so I started a blog, Through My Eyes, and did some paintings about my experiences, to share with others who might have the same things happen to them. You do a good job on your art work, especially considering that one eye is not working properly. I have a hard time making lines connect, or even telling if there is a curb or flat space, or trying to put things on the kitchen counter. But, so many people have had this, and continued with their art work, that I keep going, realizing that my "style" will have to change. Good luck to you! Take care of your good eye! When I had the cataract removed, the dr. gave me glasses that have bullet proof glass in them. He said that I have to protect my one good eye! Cost me over $600 and I still could not read with them. I chose to have distance fixed in surgery, so that I could drive. However, I still could not pass the eye exam to renew my license, and had trouble reading. They tell me that things will not go totally dark, so that is good. Just have this purple spot when I try to look at anything, and wavey lines when things should be straight.
