Are you looking for an extra special gift? Give an original, memorable gift that will last a lifetime! Get a custom ink and watercolor portrait of a home that deserves to be remembered! I also sketch businesses and churches. Just let me know if you have a special request!
Oooh - not many comments here! I was going to email you and thought i'd check this blog out. Love your idea of house portraits, and love the emerging style coming through your work. I'm not sure if it's your choice of house or the way you paint them but I get a real sense of 'America' and a sense of place. Have you ever painted the same subject in different seasons or light? Something I keep meaning to do and haven't yet. There is a pub Scotland that brews it's own beer and I've stayed nearby a couple of times and took loads of photos of it - one where we got snowed in and the photo looks black and white. Others in spring when everything is green. It makes you look at the things that are different about the thing you see all the time. If you know what I mean! I meant to answer your question on what pen I use... It's made by a firm called Pilot and its a drawing pen 0.1 size tip. So far it's the best one for me. Not expensive might be worth looking for on the web to see who stocks them. I use an 0.3 tip for the blacker bits because I'm lazy!
How are your xmas house/cards going? What you've done so far looks lovely. People appreciate it when you do things from the heart and give of your time. I'm sure your cards will be kept forever!
